About the Award

The JALC Foundation Distinguished Alumnus Award celebrates the outstanding success stories of John A. Logan College graduates. This prestigious recognition honors alumni who have achieved excellence in their profession while making significant humanitarian contributions to society.

Our Mission

  • Providing honorees with the opportunity to address the graduating class and receive recognition at the May Commencement ceremony
  • Celebrating graduates who demonstrate exceptional leadership and have overcome significant obstacles in their journey
  • Nominating our recipient for the statewide Illinois Community College Trustees Association (ICCTA) Distinguished Alumnus Award
Eligibility Requirements

Nominees must have completed a recognized program of instruction or attended for at least 30 semester hours at an ICCTA member college, while demonstrating continued support for education and community colleges.
