Apply today and take the next step toward a brighter tomorrow. The scholarship window for the 2025-2026 school year opens January 1 and runs through July 1—but submit your application by January 30 to be considered for priority awarding.

If you receive an outside scholarship and the check is mailed directly to you, please contact the Foundation office for further instructions. The Foundation office is located at B33 across from O’Neil Auditorium. If the check is written to you and JALC, please make sure you endorse the check. It is vital that the check be brought to the Foundation office as soon as possible. Do not hold on to the check for an extended amount of time, as this could result in a delayed scholarship release. Checks that are more than 30 days old may have to be reissued.
In order to be considered for a scholarship you must complete the online scholarship application. Just one application is all you have to fill out and any scholarship you meet the criteria for you will be then be considered for. You must fill out a new application for each academic year.
Even if you miss the deadline go ahead and fill out the online scholarship application. From time to time there are scholarships that we are unable to award based on criteria established by the donor. Some scholarships are awarded later in the semester because of this.
No. Once you submit an application you do not have to fill out another one. We review all student applications every two weeks to make sure all of your information is up to date.
You will receive an email or phone call informing you that you have been awarded a Foundation scholarship. Once you find out you have been selected for a scholarship, you will need to contact the Scholarship Coordinator to learn the details of your scholarship.
In some instances you can, it depends on which scholarship you received. Contact the Foundation office before you go to the bookstore to find out how your scholarship works.
